1068 (1) The Polish city of Łódź will host the High-Speed Rail Congress for the first time on 19 March 2025, with the theme "High-Speed Railways: Realizing Poland's Potential." The event is organized by the consulting company Zespół Doradców Gospodarczych TOR and the industry publication Rynek Kolejowy. The Center for Transport Strategies (CFTS) is the event’s media partner.

It is the largest congress in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to modern rolling stock. Leading Polish and European experts in the industry will attend the congress.

In particular, the event will feature presentations by European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas; Polish Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak; Chairman of the Board of Rail Baltica Marko Kivila; Chairman of the Board of PKP Intercity S.A. Janusz Malinowski; Chairman of the Board of PESA Bydgoszcz Krzysztof Zdziarski; Member of the Board of the Central Communication Port Piotr Rachwalski.

The congress will be held as part of the 12th European Rolling Stock Forum.

The agenda of the event includes high-speed railway infrastructure and the strategy for the development of this sector in Poland, both in terms of design and construction and high-speed rolling stock.

Every year, the European Rolling Stock Forum brings together many Polish and foreign companies. It is also attended by representatives of the scientific community, suppliers of rolling stock, components, or technical solutions, as well as by representatives of transport companies and regional governments that purchase rolling stock.

In previous years, the event was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian, German, Lithuanian, Hungarian, and Romanian railways, as well as by the CEOs of UIC and UNIFE.
