Yurii Husiev has been appointed as the general director of the Ukroboronprom state defense concern.
This is stated in a Ukrainian presidential decree dated 3 December, the CFTS portal reports.
Another decree dated 3 December relieved Husev of the post of governor of the Kherson region, which he held from July 2019.
Before that, Husiev was an adviser to the Ukrainian minister of infrastructure. He was in charge of development of public-private partnerships at the Infrastructure Ministry. He also headed the SPILNO project office, which the Infrastructure Ministry created to develop public-private partnerships and led the pilot projects for the concession of the Kherson and Olvia seaports.
Before then, Husev worked for several years at the Ministry of Economy, where he was also responsible for establishing public-private partnerships. He worked at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine until February 2016.
