The approach to tariff formation by the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) may be changed before the end of the summer, Minister of Infrastructure Andrii Pyvovarskyi announced at the International Conference on Support for Ukraine.
According to him, the tariff will be divided into three components: infrastructure, locomotive, and wagon. Funds generated from the infrastructure component of the tariff will be used for rehabilitation and reconstruction of railway tracks and the funds generated from the locomotive component will be used to finance rolling stock. However, according to the minister, this is not the final decision and the issue is still under discussion.
