Kremenchuk will modernize its trolleybus fleet with 20 new autonomous trolleybuses, which will be able to operate even during power outages.
This was reported by the CFTS portal, citing the Potavshhyna publication.
The Kremenchuk Trolleybus Administration has signed a contract with Politekhnoservis LLC for the supply of 12-meter low-floor trolleybuses.
The contract is valued at EUR 7.4 million.
According to the tender documentation, each trolleybus should be configured to accommodate at least 80 passengers, including 26 seated, and feature a designated space for one wheelchair user. It is also important for each trolleybus to be capable of autonomous operation for at least 20 kilometers.
The required date of arrival of the first delivery is no later than 20 weeks from the date of receipt of the advance payment by the supplier. The required completion date is no later than 44 weeks from the date of receipt of the advance payment by the supplier.
The trolleybuses were purchased under the project "Ukraine Urban Public Transport II," which is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
