The Nibulon agricultural enterprise (Nikolayev) intends to switch to direct purchase of petroleum products from abroad, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports, citing the press service of the company.
"For us, as an agricultural enterprise, the cost of fuel is very sensitive. Therefore, we are forced to switch to direct contracts for import of fuel and lubricants from abroad," the press service quoted the company’s General Director Oleksii Vadaturskyi as saying.
Nibulon has already made contact сwith Belarusian, Lithuanian, and other European producers of petroleum products, and they are willing to sell their oil to us on favorable terms as a major end user.
According to the company, direct purchase of petroleum products allows creation of reserves of fuel at lower prices in February for use during periods of high prices in the spring and summer.
Nibulon uses about 17 million liters of diesel fuel annually.
Established in 1991, Nibulon is one of the largest producers and exporters of grains and oilseeds in Ukraine.
