The Prydniprovska Railway, a regional division of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), is continuing the repair work on the Chortomlyk - Nikopolbud railway stretch, where a landslide occurred under railway tracks on 10 June.
The Prydniprovska Railway announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"Repairmen are traveling from Kryvyi Rih. Part of the rail-and-sleeper grid has been removed in the damaged area. The site of the landslide is being cleared of soil and the remains of the deformed embankment," the statement said.
Simultaneously, a new railroad track bed is being created, with over 300 cubic meters of rubble and 170 cubic meters of crushed stone already laid.
The subsidence of the ground on the Chortomlyk - Nikopolbud railway stretch was caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station on 6 June.
