The Russian occupiers have damaged an ammonia pipeline in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region.
The Kharkiv regional administration’s head Oleh Synehubov announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"The pipeline has been depressurized as a result of enemy strikes," he said.
A task force for alleviating the aftermath of the incident has been set up in the region.
"All the relevant agencies are working on the scene," Synehubov said.
As reported earlier, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres proposed in May that all the parties to the Black Sea Grain Initiative (which established a humanitarian maritime corridor to allow ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine) begin negotiations on resumption of the operation of the Togliatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline, which Russia had previously insisted upon. However, Russia has refused to participate in such negotiations.
Turkey and Ukraine agreed to negotiate on the issue, but Russia withdrew from the negotiation process.
