The Russian invaders have announced plans to start shipping grain from the temporarily occupied Kherson region by the end of 2024. It is known that the occupiers are organizing the transportation of stolen Ukrainian agricultural products from the Kherson region through Crimean ports, using railway routes to deliver grain shipping points.

The Henichesk district announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

Serhii Kiva, who calls himself the acting director of the so-called Kherson Grain Company, said that the first ship should be loaded with grain by the end of the year. The Russians have negotiated with ports in the Crimea and Sevastopol to create a shipping infrastructure. Thus, the occupiers plan to use the grain from Kherson, which is essentially a plundered resource, for their enrichment.

Russia is trying to use the annexed Crimea as a major transportation hub for grain exports. The occupiers say they plan to integrate the Kherson region into their logistical plans by establishing rail links to the peninsula's ports. This will allow them to organize uninterrupted shipments of looted grain to foreign markets.

Such statements are not only criminal but also show their disregard for international law and Ukraine's territorial integrity.

The occupiers' plans to send the first ship with grain from Kherson by the end of the year are further evidence of the large-scale looting of Ukrainian territories. The use of Crimean ports and railroads to transport looted grain shows how Russia is turning the occupied regions into sources of illegal enrichment.
