According to the latest data published by the occupation administration in the part of the Donetsk region captured by the Russians, the cargo turnover of the port of Mariupol since the beginning of 2024 amounted to 50,000 by the end of April.
This corresponds to the figure announced by the occupiers' collaborators on 7 April, the CFTS portal reports. If we believe these statements, then the Russians have not shipped stolen Ukrainian cargo from the port for three weeks.
At the same time, the occupiers report that 39 cranes and 58 pieces of cargo handling equipment have resumed operation in the port of Mariupol in 2023. In addition, the central repair and mechanical workshops were put back into operation.
According to Russian data, the seaport of Mariupol handled 65 ships in 2023. The total volume of cargo transshipment in the port was over 142,000 tons in the 12 months of 2023.
The Russians export goods (grain, metal products, coal, etc.) stolen from the temporarily occupied territories and goods intended for military purposes through the Russian-occupied ports on the coast of the Sea of Azov (the ports of Mariupol and Berdiansk).
As for the routes of illegal export of goods, the Russians themselves have stated that ships sail from Mariupol to the ports of Rostov-on-Don, Kavkaz, Azov, and Sevastopol.
