Supernova Airlines has completed its first cargo charter flight using its own Boeing 737-800 aircraft, operating from Budapest to Chisinau, the CFTS portal reports.
"The flight made it possible to fine-tune and verify the synchronization of procedures and processes for the delivery of shipments to recipients in Moldova," the airline said in a statement.
The international parcel delivery company Nova Global commissioned the flight. The next step is to test the transit of goods to Ukraine by road.
"Supernova Airlines plans to develop its route network further and gradually increase the number of flights to meet the needs of both the Nova group of companies (Nova Poshta) and external customers," the airline said.
The airline, which has been certified by the State Aviation Service of Ukraine (DASU) and approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to operate as a non-European carrier, is preparing to launch regular flights to the United States.
The company is currently in the process of obtaining permits to operate flights to the United States.
