Ukraine’s draft state budget for 2025 provides for the allocation of UAH 409.1 million to finance the operation and development of the country's inland waterways and the infrastructure for navigating the inland waterways.
According to the CFTS portal, this was reported by the publication Rail.Insider, citing the explanatory note to the draft state budget for 2025.
Of the total projected expenditures of UAH 409.1 million, UAH 39 million will be allocated from the General Fund of the state budget and UAH 370.1 million from the Special Fund.
The funds will be used for the following purposes: maintenance, reconstruction, repair, technical upgrade, and protection of navigation locks; maintenance of inland waterways in a navigable condition; operation, reconstruction, repair, and development of the river information service; navigation and hydrographic support for navigation on inland waterways, etc.
