Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will hold a roundtable on cheap flights in Ukraine in the second half of September. Directors of leading Ukrainian and foreign airlines, including EasyJet’s head of C. McCall and Ryanair’s head M. O'Leary, have been invited.
Aron Mayberg, the head of UIA’s supervisory board, announced this on his Facebook page, the CFTS portal reports.
The roundtable is expected to take place in Kiev on 17 and 22 September. The exact date will be announced later. Also invited to the event are Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi, the State Aviation Service’s acting head Mykola Melnychenko, the Odessa region’s Governor Mikheil Saakashvili, and directors of a number of Ukrainian airports, including the Boryspil airport, etc.
Currently, we are also discussing the format that will ensure that the event has maximum effect, said Mayberg.
According to the head of UIA’s supervisory board, the roundtable will be held with the aim of reducing of ticket prices for Ukrainians.
