Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), which is the largest airline in Ukraine, will more than double its aircraft fleet by 2020, the airline’s President Yurii Miroshnikov announced at a Ukrainian infrastructure forum in Kyiv on Friday, April 22, the CFTS portal’s correspondent reports.
"We will have 78 aircraft in 2020, including nine long-haul aircraft," said Miroshnikov.

As reported, the UIA currently has a fleet of 33 aircraft, including four long-haul aircraft. It took delivery of the latest aircraft at the end of March this year.
In early April, Miroshnikov said that the airline would lease eight aircraft with ages ranging from six to 15 years and receive one aircraft straight from the factory this year.
The airline is based at the Boryspil airport in Kyiv. Most of the aircraft in its fleet are Boeing 737 aircraft of various modifications. One of the ultimate beneficiary owners of the airline is businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi.
