Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has received permission to operate flights from Zaporizhia to Batumi (Georgia). The State Aviation Service’s commission for airline operations made the relevant decision on 28 March.
The Zaporizhia-Batumi flights will be launched on June 21. The flights will be operated two times per week: to Batumi on Wednesdays and Fridays and back on Thursdays and Saturdays. The flights will depart from Zaporizhia at 22:15 (on Wednesdays) and 21:35 and depart from Batumi at 02:30 (on Thursdays) and 01:50 (on Saturdays). The travel time is just over 2 hours.
The new destination has already been added to the carrier's booking system. The cost of a one-way ticket is UAH 3,002.50.
The Zaporizhia-Batumi flight will be UIA’s fifth route from Ukraine to Georgia. The carrier currently operates three flights to Georgia (Kyiv-Tbilisi, Kyiv-Kutaisi, and Kharkiv-Kutaisi). Odesa-Kutaisi flights will be launched in early June.
The Dniproavia airline will start flying from Dnipro to Batumi in May. The flights will initially be operated once a week. It will be increased to two flights per week in June. Bravo Airways and Yanair also plan to launch flights to Batumi.
