The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs began issuing electronic visas to citizens of India, South Africa, and the Philippines on August 14.

The ministry announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

"Ukrainian e-visas are issued for travel to Ukraine for business, private, and tourist purposes; for medical treatment and activities in the fields of culture, science, education, and sports, as well as to representatives of foreign media," the Foreign Ministry said.

To apply for an electronic visa, a foreigner is required to register on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ web portal (https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua), fill out the online application form, upload a photograph and scanned copies of documents (passport, invitation, etc.), pay the consular fee with a bank card. The electronic visa will be sent via e-mail.

According to the statement, to enter Ukraine, foreigners should print out their electronic visas and present them to Ukrainian border officials along with their passports.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, Ukraine has canceled visas for tourists from China until 2021. The relevant decree was signed with the aim of intensifying bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
