The value of exports of agricultural crops from Ukraine to the European Union totaled USD 288.63 million in the period of January-February this year. This is stated in an informational note provided by Deputy Agrarian Policy Minister for European Integration Vladyslava Rutitska. Comparative figures for last year were not provided.
The largest exports in those two months were corn (worth USD 243.049 million), wheat (USD 38.703 million), sorghum (USD 4.981 million), barley (USD 771,000), rye (USD 498,000) and oats (USD 161,000).
The largest buyers of Ukrainian wheat in the two months were Italy (131,700 tons), Spain (29,700 tons), Britain 16,200 tons), Greece (11,600 tons), and the Netherlands (about 5,000 tons).
The largest buyers of corn in January-February were Spain (480,700 tons), the Netherlands (450,700 tons), Italy (219,400 tons), Portugal (137,850 tons), Germany (81,200 tons), and Ireland (81,700 tons).
