Ukraine has launched a new special project that consolidates all machine-building development programs.
Dmytro Kysylevskyi, the deputy chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development and a co-author of the project, announced this in a statement, as reported by the CFTS portal.
"Machine Building: Programs and Development Policies" is a new special project being implemented jointly with the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, and the Ukrainian Federation of Employers.
"We have combined all programs for the development of machine building into a single collection. Their effectiveness is demonstrated by specific examples in the production of municipal and agricultural machinery, public transport, products of the defense-industrial complex, means of production, and other subsectors," Kysylevskyi said.
The official added that this serves as a guide for factory owners and management.
"Every Ukrainian manufacturer of fire engines or school buses, sprayers or machine tools provides work not only to its own employees, but also to dozens of subcontracting enterprises. This multiplier effect is a unique feature of machine building. Every hryvnia of state support triggers a long chain reaction in the industry and returns to the state budget as taxes that support the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said Kysylevskyi.
"During the years of the war, we have become convinced that Ukraine must be able to produce its own turbines and transformers, pumps and hydraulics, drones and missiles. The resilience of a state begins with economic self-sufficiency. It is important that the number and variety of state support programs for the manufacturing industry continue to increase over time. 'Made in Ukraine' is a long-term policy that should guide the Ukrainian authorities for decades," Kysylevskyi concluded.
