Ukrainian airlines increased passenger transportation by 26.6% to 6.191 million in the period of January-September 2016, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the State Aviation Service announced.
This figure includes 5.602 million international passengers (a 26.4% increase compared with the volume in January-September 2015).
The increase in the volume of passenger traffic through Ukrainian airports during the period of January-September 2016 was more modest: it increased by 16.8% to 9.652 million, including 8.451 million international passengers (a 15.4% increase).
Thus, the share of Ukrainian airlines in the total air transport volume in the country is 64%.
