Ukrainian ports have handled over 80 million tons of cargo since 1 January 2024, according to preliminary data from the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), the CFTS portal reports.
"Ukrainian ports continue to operate normally, ensuring stable operation of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor despite the difficult conditions. Since 1 January 2024, Ukrainian ports have handled 80 million tons of cargo, including 49.5 million tons of grain, confirming the country's important role as a guarantor of global food security," the USPA said in a statement.
The USPA stressed that the uninterrupted operation of ports and the reliable functioning of the logistics corridor are critical to the global food market.
"Ensuring safe navigation and protecting port infrastructure remains a priority in the face of constant threats," the USPA said.
