From January to November 2024, Ukrainian seaports handled 89.8 million tons of cargo, significantly exceeding the 52.9 million tons that they handled in the same period of 2023.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

Agricultural products remained the basis of cargo flows, totaling 55 million tons.

"This result underscores the importance of ports in ensuring the export of Ukrainian grain to global markets, thus contributing to the strengthening of food security," the statement said.

November 2024 was particularly productive, with 7.5 million tons of cargo handled, a 41% increase compared with November last year.
