The Ukrferry shipping company (Odessa) has launched a regular passenger/ro-ro cargo ferry service on the Illichivsk-Constanta (Romania)-Batumi (Georgia) route, the Voice of Ukraine reports.

The Greifswald ferry, which can accommodate 85 17-meter trucks of the TIR class and 150 passengers, is operated on the route. The vessel will depart Illichivsk on Wednesdays. It has a modern passenger complex, a bar, a restaurant, a children's room, and other amenities.

The travel time is three days. According to Ukrferry, the launch of this route strengthens the position of Ukraine in the TRACECA international transport corridor.
