The United States’ draft budget for the 2016 fiscal year provides for allocation of USD 513.5 million to Ukraine. This is stated in a budget report by the United States Congressional Research Service, UNN reports, citing TASS.
According to the report, the funds will be provided to Ukraine for implementing economic reforms, promoting democracy, and combating corruption, as well as for supporting additional loan guarantees of USD 1 billion if progress is made on the reforms proposed by the International Monetary Fund.
As reported earlier, United States Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said that the United States will provide an additional USD 1 billion in financial aid to Ukraine if reforms are implemented successfully.
