The Wizz Air low-cost airline began operating flights on the Lviv-Berlin route on June 18. It will operate two flights per week on this route (on Wednesdays and Sundays).
According to the airline, the price of a one-way ticket starts at UAH 409, including all taxes and mandatory fees. There were 173 passengers on the first flight.
Wizz Air launched flights between Lviv and Wroclaw earlier this year. Currently, the low-cost airline offers flights on 21 routes to eight countries from airports in Lviv and Kyiv.
The airline has also announced expansion of its Kyiv base, to which a second Airbus A320 airplane will be delivered. As a result, five new flights will be launched in August.
In total, Wizz Air has transported more than 4.8 million passengers on routes from/to Ukraine since 2008. The airline uses a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft and a 230-seat A321 aircraft for the flights.
