In 2018, Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline, will launch four new flights from the Lviv airport. The Lviv airport’s head Tetiana Romanivska announced this at Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian’s end-of-year press conference, the CFTS reports.
"Wizz Air has announced four new flights to Gdansk, Katowice, Dortmund, and London," Romanivska said.
According to Wizz Air’s ticket booking system, flights to Katowice and Gdansk will begin on March 26, 2018. Flights to both destinations will be performed twice a week: on Mondays and Fridays. Two more flights to Katowice (on Wednesdays and Sundays) will be added on June 20. The cheapest ticket for flights to Katowice and Gdansk will be UAH 279 (one way). Flights to Dortmund will start on May 21, 2018, and they will also be performed on Mondays and Fridays. Ticket prices will start at UAH 719 UAH (one way). The timetable for flights to London has not yet been released.
As reported, the Hungarian low-cost airline announced flights from Lviv to Britain back in November.
Wizz Air resumed flights to Lviv in spring this year. The carrier currently performs flights from Lviv to Berlin and Wroclaw. Wizz Air plans to increase the frequency of its flights to Wroclaw from two to four per week in June 2018.
