Volodymyr Zelenskyi assumed the office of president of Ukraine at a ceremonial session of the parliament on Monday, May 20, the CFTS portal reports.
During the session, Zelenskyi swore an oath to the Ukrainian people with his hand on the Constitution of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Constitutional Court’s Chief Justice Natalia Shaptala proclaimed Zelenskyi as the president of Ukraine in accordance with Article 104 of the Constitution of Ukraine after he took the oath of office.
The head of the Central Electoral Commission presented the newly elected president with the certificate of the President of Ukraine and the head of the Constitutional Court presented him with the president of Ukraine’s official symbols of power.
