Aeroflot, the largest Russian airline, made a net profit of RUB 15.061 billion in January-September, according to Russian accounting standards. This is 22% less than its net profit in January-September 2013 (RUB 19.3 billion rubles).
Converted into foreign currency, the company’s net profit amounted to USD 601 million in the first three quarters of last year (as at October 31, 2013) and USD 333 million in the first three quarters of the current year (at the current exchange rate). The company’s profit thus reduced by 44.6% in dollar terms.
The revenues of the airline totaled RUB 176.747 billion (USD 3.9 billion) in the first nine months of this year, which is 14% more than its revenues in January-September last year (RUB 155 billion).
The cost of sales increased by 17.1% to RUB 143.7 billion (USD 3.2 billion) in the first nine months of 2014, compared with the same period last year.
These financial results are only for the Aeroflot airline and not consolidated with those of its subsidiaries.
