The Boryspil international airport handled 672,058 passengers in the period of January-February 2021, down 66% from the 1,950,387 passengers it handled in the corresponding period of 2020.
The airport announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The airport handled 373,726 passengers on scheduled flights in the period of January-February 2021, down 75% from 1,523,817 in the corresponding period of 2020.
It handled 298,332 passengers on non-scheduled flights in the period of January-February 2021, down 30% from 426,570 in the corresponding period of 2020.
The number of transfer passengers handled by the airport reduced by 93.9% to 20,018 in the period of January-February 2021, compared with 325,564 passengers in the corresponding period of 2020. The share of the transfer passenger volume reduced from 16.7% to 3.0% of the total passenger traffic.
In February 2021, the volume of passenger traffic through the airport reduced by 62% to 338,266 from 900,579 in February 2020.
The number of passengers on scheduled flights reduced by 74% to 181,781 in February 2021 from 699,758 in February 2020 while the number of passengers on non-scheduled flights reduced by 22% to 156,485 in February 2021 from 200,821 in February 2020.
The number of transfer passengers handled by the airport reduced by 93.9% to 9,098 in February 2021 from 148,276 in February 2020.
As the CFTS reported previously, the volume of passenger traffic through the Boryspil airport reduced by 65% to 4.059 million in the first nine months of 2020, compared with the corresponding period of 2019.
