The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources proposed for using state funds to finance restoration of transport infrastructure in the exclusion zone around the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the relevant resolution at a meeting on Wednesday, June 5.

In accordance with a May 20 order by the state agency that manages the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, UAH 81.4 million has been allocated for financing the investment project “Restoration of Transport Infrastructure in the Exclusion Zone.” In particular, the funds are intended for financing reconstruction of a bridge across River Uzh in the village of Cherevash and reconstruction of a bridge over a river near the village of Zalesie in the Ivankovskyi district of the Kyiv region.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, British drones have compiled a map of the forest in Chornobyl. The drones were equipped with sensors that provided information about the most polluted areas.
