Cargo handling through all the berths at the Yuzhny seaport (Odessa region) increased by 5.5% to 35.099 million tons in the period of January-October 2013, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the press service of the seaport has announced.
The cargo turnover of the state enterprise Yuzhny Commercial Seaport (including the coal and ore complex) was 15.944 million tons in January-October 2013 (no comparative figures were provided).
Ore cargoes accounted for the largest share of the total turnover of the state enterprise (9.652 million tons), followed by coal (2.058 million tons).
The state enterprise processed 467 vessels and 147,552 railcars since in January- October 2013.
The cargo turnover in the entire Yuzhny seaport was 3.477 million tons in October.
