Cargo transshipment at the Ilyichevsk seaport reduced by 31.8% to 1.118 million tons in January 2014, compared with January 2013, according to data from the Ukrainian Administration of Seaports.
The volume of transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 9.9% to 134,000 tons in January 2014, including 36,000 tons of petroleum products (such goods were not transshipped last year) and 98,000 tons of oil (-17.7%).
The volume of transshipment of dry cargo through the port reduced by 45.1% to 584,000 tons in January 2014 compared with January 2013, including 21,000 tons of coal (1.8-fold increase), 106,000 tons of ore (-78.8%), and 281,000 tons of grain (-9%).
The volume of transshipment of unitized cargo through the Ilyichevsk seaport reduced by 11.7% to 399,000 tons in January 2014 compared with January 2013, including 140,000 tons of ferrous metals (-36.4%).
The volume of container transshipment through the port was 15,866 TEU in in January 2014 (+10.4% compared with in January 2013). This translates to 165,000 tons in weight terms (+20.7%) or 9,147 pieces (+10.8%).
In addition, 2,008 vehicles were loaded at the port in January 2014, which is 35.7% more than the number loaded in in January 2013.
