The largest numbers of Ukrainian electronic visas were issued to citizens of China, Australia, and Saudi Arabia during the period of January-July 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing the European Pravda publication.

“We at the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry are proud of the results of the processing of Ukrainian electronic visas, which are used by foreigners from 52 countries, in the period of January-July 2019. This new and convenient mechanism is only a little over one year old, but the figures eloquently demonstrate its effectiveness,” said Andrii Zaiats, the state secretary for the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

According to him, the Foreign Affairs Ministry issued more than 20,000 electronic visas to foreigners “centrally” in 2019.

The most active users of Ukrainian electronic visas were citizens of China (12,125), Australia (2,368), and Saudi Arabia (1,787).

Ukrainian electronic visas were issued most often for tourism (16,839), business trips (2,355), and private visits (618).

The youngest applicant for an electronic visa was 2 months old and the oldest 96 years old.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, Ukrainians traveled out of the country almost 2014 million times in in the period of 2014-2018. The number of Ukrainians that crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border was 46.5 million.
