The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to invest about EUR 250 million in the Ukrainian agribusiness industry this year. The bank's Director for Ukraine Sevki Acuner announced this in a statement, RBK Ukraine reports.

"We had record investments in agribusiness – nearly EUR 250 million –last year. This year, I think the figure will be very close – EUR 245 or 255 million – if not exactly the same," he said.

According to him, support for agribusinesses is one of the EBRD’s main areas of operation.

"This area – support for agribusinesses – is a priority, one of the pillars of our strategy. Moreover, support across the spectrum," the EBRD director for Ukraine said.
