First-DDSG Logistics Holding GmbH, a subsidiary of the Ferrexpo company that delivers products to consumers in Central Europe via the Danube River’s waterways, has been certified for compliance with international standards.
Ferrexpo announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"The ISO 14001:2015 certificate confirms that First-DDSG implements effective environmental practices to minimize its environmental impact. This is important for inland waterway transport on the Danube River, where the company operates 214 vessels, providing environmentally friendly transportation with low greenhouse gas emissions," the statement said.
According to the statement, Ferrexpo has invested more than USD 400 million in logistics infrastructure over the past decade.
