Franz Josef Marx has been appointed as Interpipe’s chief executive officer effective February 1, 2022.
In this position he will succeed Fadi Hraibi who will continue to chair the Board of Directors of the Company.
Franz Josef Marx has long-standing experience in managing large-scale industrial companies. In particular, heserved as President of IP Russia at International Paper, also hold the posts of CEO of OAO Svetogorsk, CEO of Ilim Group, independent director of the Board of Directors of GOC Kama.
Previously, Franz Josef Marx was the partner at The Boston Consulting Group and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he ran Moscow office as a managing partner. His career began at BASF AG as an intern followed by management experience in Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Mr. Marx has MBA degree from Christian Albrecht University of Kiel (CAU, Germany). Besides that, he graduated from Bingen Technical University (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany) with Master of Engineering degree.

- Franz Josef Marx has already worked with Interpipe as a consultant from BCG. He is well aware of the structure and internal processes in the Company. In recent years, Interpipe entered new segments of the production and sales of premium products, and Mr. Marks has appropriate expertise to promote and strengthen the Company's position in export markets.

The company’s products are marketed in more than 80 countries all around the world via the network of sales offices located in key markets of Ukraine, Europe, North America and the Middle East. In 2021, Interpipe supplied 602 kt of pipes and 174 kt of railway products.
Interpipe has 10 thousand people working at the company’s facilities. During 2020 the Company transferred UAH 2.54bln in taxes to budgets of all levels and extra-budgetary funds.
