Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian has announced that the Cabinet of Ministers has given its final approval for the composition of the board of the Ukrzaliznytsia public railway company.
On his Facebook page, the minister published an attachment to the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers with the names Oleksandr Buzhor, Ireneusz Wasilewski, Marek Robert Zalesny, Zeljko Marcek, Serhii Mikhalchuk, and Remigiusz Paszkiewicz.
The prime minister will sign this resolution today, as well as the resolution on the composition of the supervisory board. A political decision to grant all the powers to implement reforms has been approved," Omelian wrote.
He added that the Ministry of Infrastructure is ready to provide full support to the new leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia and act as a "political shield" for the company.
"Zero tolerance for to corruption," the minister wrote.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed the new board of Ukrzaliznytsia, which included Marek Robert Zalesny, Oleksandr Buzhor, Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, and Zeljko Marcek, on June 1.
The Cabinet of Ministers expanded the board of Ukrzaliznytsia on July 6 by adding three people: Oleksandr Skripinskyi (the acting director of strategic development and corporate management at Ukrzaliznytsia), Andrii Haluschak (the deputy director for reform at Lviv Railway), and Ireneusz Wasilewski (previously worked for PKP Cargo SA).
