The Illichivsk commercial seaport processed 1,551 vessels in the first six months of 2016, the press service of the Ukrainian Port Authority announced.

Control procedures directly on board vessels were performed by representatives of State Epidemiological Services (189 times), representatives of veterinary control services (115 times), representatives of phytosanitary services (71 times), and customs officers (28 times). Representatives of the Environmental Inspectorate did not board vessels during their processing.

The average time from completion of mooring operations to the start of preparation for cargo operations, namely the raising of a ship surveyor onto a vessel, was about 20 minutes.

As reported, the Yuzhny seaport processed more than 1,036 vessels during the first half of 2016 in accordance with the procedure for conducting inspections aboard vessels that the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 491 dated 7 July 2015 introduced.
