The volume of capital investment in the Illichivsk seaport in 2106 is planned at UAH 632.37 million, which is 5.1 times more than the figure forecast for 2015. The Interfax Ukraine news agency reported this, citing the explanatory note to the Illichivsk seaport’s financial plan for 2016.

The seaport plans to spend only UAH 440,000 on capital construction.

It plans to spend UAH 581.175 million on acquisition (manufacture) of fixed assets, including UAH 95.5 million on transshipment equipment, because its transshipment equipment is physically obsolete, reached the end of its service life, and can no longer meet the needs of its freight terminals and ensure the required intensity for handling ships and wagons. The average age of the equipment is 16 years.

The seaport also plans to spend UAH 27 million on acquisition of three bucket loaders, UAH 37.5 million on acquisition of five forklifts with load capacity of 10 tons, UAH 20 million on a self-propelled hydraulic loader, UAH 5 million on nine grabs, and UAH 191.4 million on equipping of the port fleet, including UAH 191 million on an ice-class tug.
