Two years after the use of the ProZorro electronic auction system became mandatory for all government orders, UAH 9.15 billion has been saved on infrastructural procurements alone. The Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The State Road Agency made the largest amount of savings (UAH 45 billion), followed by the Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (UAH 2.3 billion since August 1, 2016) and the maritime and river transport industry (UAH 14 billion).
The Ukrposhta state postal agency saved UAH 514 million and enterprises in the aviation industry UAH 140 million.
As reported, the ProZorro online auction system was launched in March 2015, but its use became mandatory for state agencies and enterprises on August 1, 2016.
Ukrzaliznytsia will begin providing wagons for use through the ProZorro.Sales system this year.
