The Ministry of Interior Affairs has received the first two helicopters under a contract with the Airbus Helicopters company (France).

“The first two French-made Airbus H225 Super Puma helicopters are already in service at the National Guard of Ukraine and the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” Interior Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov wrote in his Twitter account on Friday.

Avakov said during the ceremonial delivery of the helicopters that Ukraine would receive two more helicopters in January, the CFTS portal reports, citing the LB.ua publication.

“Two more Super Puma helicopters for the emergency services will be in Ukraine in two weeks. On schedule,” he told reporters.

According to him, the pilots of the French-made helicopters and the technicians that will service them will be trained at the Kremenchug Flight College.

The technical support service for them will be based in Nizhyn (Chernihiv region) and Oleksandria (Kirovohrad region).

As reported earlier, the Ministry of Interior Affairs signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters for purchase of 55 helicopters of the models H225, H145, and H125 on July 14.
