The Kherson seaport increased cargo transshipment 1.8 times to 1.521 million tons in 2013, compared with 847,000 tons in 2012, according to data from the Association of Ukrainian Seaports of Ukraine.

Bulk carriers accounted for practically the entire cargo traffic - 1.503 million tons (+78.1% compared with 2012). The seaport handled 1.03 million tons of construction cargo (+70.8%), 125,000 tons of grain (48%), and 280,000 tons of other bulk cargo.

The port handled 15,000 tons of packaged cargo, 10,000 tons of scrap metal, and 5,000 tons of metal in 2013.

It also handled 3,000 tons of liquid cargo (sunflower oil).
