According to the Ukrainian High-Speed Train Company, the high-speed train route with the lowest number of passengers in the second quarter of 2015 was the Kiev-Krivoy Rog-Kiev route, the CFTS portal reports.
The average occupancy rate on the Kiev-Krivoy Rog train No. 740 in the second quarter of 2015 was only 35 percent and the average occupancy rate in the opposite direction was even lower at only 29 percent.
The route with the highest occupancy rate in the second quarter of 2015 was the Kiev-Kharkov-Kiev route.
The average occupancy rate of the train No. 726, which departs from Kiev for Kharkov in the evenings, reached an incredible 91 percent. This same train also had the highest occupancy rate of 85 percent in the first quarter.
The train No. 725, which departs from Kharkov for Kiev in the mornings, also had high occupancy rates: 88% in the second quarter and 76% in the first quarter. Even the day train No. 724 from Kiev to Kharkov has an impressive occupancy rate of 83%.
