President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi introduced Maksym Kutsyi as the new governor of the Odesa region during a working trip to the region, the CFTS portal reports.

According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the new governor of the Odesa region is 36 years old. He is from the business community.

According to media reports, Kutsyi is the ultimate beneficial owner of several Kyiv-based companies: Service and Management LLC (construction), Media Partner (advertising), Digital Partnership (information services), and City Corps (construction). In general, little is known about the newly appointed governor because he was not previously a public figure.

“My doors will always be open to everyone: the military, representatives of public organizations and religious denominations, and ordinary citizens. Let is make our country better together. Let us work together,” Kutsyi said.

As reported earlier, the former governor of the Odesa region, Maksym Stepanov, was dismissed in April. Serhii Paraschenko was the acting governor of the Odesa region until June 18, when Zelenskyi appointed Svitlana Shatalova to the post.
