Kyivskyi Metropoliten, the operator of the Kyiv subway, has signed a contract with the Kyivmetrobud company for construction of an extension of the subway to the Vinogradar residential district. The contract is for extension of the Syretsko-Pecherskyi subway line.

According to the contract, the construction work will continue until 2021 and the budget will be UAH 5.993 billion.

As the CFTS reported, Kyivmetrobud won the corresponding tender via the ProZorro public procurement system.

As the CFTS also reported, the project for extension of the Kyiv subway station to the Vinogradar residential district also provides for a technical solution that is new to the Ukrainian capital – construction of so-called vertical tunnels.
