The glass canopy of the Sviatoshyn subway station's elevator vestibule and the stained glass above the station's staircase were damaged during a Russian missile attack in Kyiv in the early hours of 2 September.

Kyivskyi Metropoliten, the municipal company that operates the Kyiv subway, announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

According to the company, the Svyatoshyn subway station has resumed normal passenger transportation operations.

However, access to the exit leading to Beresteiskyi Avenue and railway platform No. 3 remains temporarily restricted.

According to the statement, over 5,300 people, including 686 children, sheltered in Kyiv subway stations in the early hours of 2 September.

Earlier, the Kyiv city administration reported that the Russians launched more than 10 cruise missiles and about 10 ballistic missiles at Kyiv in the early hours of 2 September.
