The Mykolaiv region’s Governor Oleksii Savchenko has written a letter of resignation, the CFTS portal reports, citing the tsenzor.net publication.

Savchenko intends to personally deliver the letter of resignation to presidential administration. For this purpose, he left the Mykolaiv region for Kyiv on Monday.

A source in the Mykolaiv regional administration confirmed that Savchenko had traveled to Kyiv.

Savchenko announced on Hromadske TV on Monday evening that he had decided to resign because he believed that he should leave office together with President Petro Poroshenko.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Zakarpattia region’s Governor Hennadii Moskal and the Lviv region’s Governor Oleh Siniutka have also announced their resignations.
