The sixth PTS trolleybus with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers has arrived in Mykolaiv.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
Employees of the Mykolaivelectrotrans municipal transport enterprise are currently conducting a technical inspection of the trolleybus to ensure it meets the required specifications. “After a few more technical issues, trolleybus 0046 will begin its test runs on city routes,” Senkevych said.
Mykolaiv will receive 31 new trolleybuses with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers under a project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and with the support of the Danish government.
“These trolleybuses will serve routes connecting to the city's remote neighborhoods. The first such route will be launched to the Korabelnyi district as soon as Mykolaivelectrotrans receives 10 PTS trolleybuses,” Senkevych said.
