Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk has instructed the relevant ministries to register all the changes necessary to simplify the movement of goods through Ukrainian ports with the Ministry of Justice, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports.

"The government has adopted four resolutions, and now it is necessary for the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Finance to urgently make changes to their internal databases and register the changes with the Ministry of Justice in implementation of these government resolution," Yatseniuk said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, 8 July.

According to him, the new procedure for movement of goods through Ukrainian ports, which is in line with European standards, should be fully implemented in Ukraine within 45 days. "I think that we will go to ports in 45 days to see how goods are being processed," the prime minister said.

As reported, Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yurii Vaskov recently presented the ministry’s proposals on improvement of logistics in ports, including through elimination of unnecessary bureaucratic procedures, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to him, such measures will increase the capacity of seaports by 15-20%. In addition, the reforms will affect yacht tourism.
