The Nibulon company, together with contractors, has completed the first phase of construction of a transshipment terminal in the village of Belenkoye (Zaporozhe region), the company announced on its website.
Construction was completed in late 2014, despite difficult weather conditions, according to a press release.
In particular, the company built a berth installation with a length of 105 meters and a width of 18 meters, which will allow the company’s non-self-propelled vessels (with a length of 90 meters) to be unloaded at when approaching with a tug from the POSS-115 project. For these operations, Telestack ship loaders with a capacity of 500 tons per hour will be installed at the berth.
Work at the construction site is currently continuing. Oleksandr Lytvynov, the construction supervision engineer at the company’s department of capital construction, said that tests on the first piles had already been completed and that grading and leveling of the territory was nearing completion. Upon its completion and after the dismantling of the old structures, the site for construction of future terminal facilities will be fully ready.,
