The Ukrainian Navy successfully facilitated the passage of civilian ships through the Ukrainian maritime corridor in the Black Sea in 2024. During this period, 9,061 vessels passed through the corridor, of which 4,651 arrived in Ukraine and 4,410 left for other ports.
The Ukrainian Naval Command announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
According to the statement, this enabled Ukraine to export more than 74.4 million tons of cargo, including agricultural products.
"The safety of navigation is maintained by the continuous efforts of the naval fleet and divers of the Ukrainian Navy. Many 'floating' mines were neutralized, and there were no cases of mine detonation in ports," the statement said.
In addition, the navy provided constant escort for cargo ships passing through the corridor.
