Supernova Airlines, which is part of the Nova Poshta group of companies, operated its first flight on the Riga - Rzeszów route this week.
Supernova Airlines announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The aircraft operated by the airline delivered 7 tons of international parcels sent by Nova Poshta’s customers from the Riga International Airport to Rzeszów (Poland).
The parcels were later loaded onto trucks for transportation to Ukraine.
The airline operated the first flight in cooperation with the Latvian airline RAF-Avia, using an ATR 72 aircraft.
Supernova Airlines plans to operate flights on this route twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Supernova Airlines was founded in 2021. In January 2023, it became the first Ukrainian airline to obtain an air operator's certificate during the full-scale war. Despite the war in Ukraine, Supernova Airlines continues to perform all the procedures necessary to operate regular cargo flights to and from the European Union, where the airline's airplanes are based while Ukraine’s airspace remains closed.
